Song Appearances

Movie: Terminator (1984)

Synopsis: No need. You know this one.

Song: Burning Through the Night (unreleased demo)

Scene: In the Technoir club, when the Terminator and Kyle Reese are searching for Sarah Connor.

Song Fact: This demo song was never completed or released. Dave mentioned that songs with girl singers are popular, so he performed this song singing like a girl.

Movie: Night of the Killer Vending Machines (1988)

Synopsis: Lightning strikes a room full of vending machines, causing them to become sentient and deadly. They go on a rampage, starting in the office building, through the mall, into a military base, onto the neon streets, and finally into a launching space shuttle.

Song: Car of Cthulhu

Scene: The vending machines steal a high-tech military truck and attack the downtown nightlife. The truck runs over people while the trucks weapons and the soda machines’ fast-ejecting cans kill people.

Movie: Bald Man Camp 2: No Butts About It (1989)

Synopsis: A USA Network “Up All Night” staple. Another mundane, meandering style often described as “Like a porno, but without any sex or nudity.” Young and middle-aged bald men (some very oddly feminine) in a lakeside cabin become interested in the cheerleader training camp that just started up nearby. Hijinks (sort of) ensue as the men try to make girlfriends, often while spying, playing pranks, searching through feminine underwear, or finding creative ways to look up skirts or down shirts.

Song 1: Yeah

Scene: Opening scene with the bald man van zooming down the country road while the passengers act like adolescents.

Song 2: I Wear My Black Jackets to Fights

Scene: When Seezer tries to take on Iron Steve (Stacey’s boyfriend) and gets pummeled.

Song 3: You’ll Find Your Melfina

Scene: Bobby mopes about love-sick, reflecting on Maggie with concern that she doesn’t even notice him.

Song 4: 2 Ways to Rock

Scene: Nearly every other scene, including the end on the bus where Johnny and Lewis open up their luggage full of plundered ladies underwear as the others celebrate.

Movie: Evil Camp Bad Things (1993)

Synopsis: Japanese movie about an American family (the “Angry, Drinking” Family) that goes to a cabin in the haunted woods. The father (a professional wrestler who runs a moonshine farm), mother (who loves guns and nags everybody), teenage daughter (who drives monster trucks and always writes in her diary about shopping and makeup) and young son (a stupid boy who throws things) must face all kinds of evil things: ghosts, demons, possessions, living nature, toolman slashers, werewolves, vampires, satanic cult rangers, vengeful nightmares, and evil trucks.

Song 1: By the Lake

Scene: Wrestling dad fights the demonic kangaroo.

Song 2: Cabin in the Woods

Scene: The son is listening to this song while throwing books all over the central room.

Movie: Sweaty Cages (1995)

Synopsis: A TNT original movie. A throwback film to the Women in Prison genre. The DD (Double Dangerous) girls must band together to escape New Alcatraz. To do so, they’re going to have to beat the whip-wielding, stiletto-heeled, dog-collared warden at her own game, literally.

Song 1: Blades of the Samurai

Scene: Shower (turf) fight scene.

Song 2 and 3: The Safety Song and Revelation: Above the Mountains of Madness (songs intercut)

Scene: The strength and mud-wrestling training montage.

Song 4: 2-Bit Paradise

Scene: Lethal Lindsey’s final, victorious mud-wrestling scene with the warden.

Video Game: Office Warrior (1995)

Synopsis: Witness the real life struggles of the office life first-hand. No game has been so daring as to be this realistic. Only for the hardcore!

Song: Level 10

Scene: Level 10, where you have to get your reports done by 3 while your wife keeps calling to say that you don’t show her enough attention and your boss yells at you for wasting company time.

Movie: Star Trek Enterprise Vs. Kiler Klowns from Outer Space (2003)

Synopsis: A Sci-Fi channel original movie. The Star Trek Enterprise receives a distress signal to a planet invaded by hungry clowns. Will the milquetoast crew be able to withstand the aggression and captivating humor of this menacing breed, or will they need the help of another?

Song 1: Tranceportation: Cyber Seniors

Scene: Travel sequence to the distress signal.

Song 2: Geriatric Sex Symbol

Scene: Captain Kirk’s grand entrance and declaration to fight the killer klowns.

Song 3: Old Dog, New Tricks

Scene: Captain Picard’s training to imitate a killer klown and infiltrate the base.

Song 4: The Sweat Ride

Scene: Final shot with the Star Trek Enterprise drifting away after victory while pies and candy trail sneakily behind.

Movie: Terminator 2 Expanded Ultra Edition (planned)

Synopsis: Another extended version of the Action classic.

Song: Project XO-3577

Scene: The Terminator, Sarah Connor, John Connor, and Enrique fight a hoard of machines sent by Skynet in what has been described as “One of the best action scenes ever filmed but never seen.” This scene was filmed but cut due to time and a sense that it wasn’t truly finished. After hearing the song Project XO-3577, the director (Cameron) had a revelation that this was what was missing. He was going to include this unbelievable scene, but then decided against it. He instead chose a scene that explored the sensitive side of the movie. The Terminator, trying to pass for human, observes that people go to the bathroom. He begins listening to their grunts and reliefs. He goes into a stall and imitates their sounds. Afterwards, he listens with his ear to another bathroom door. It opens, and a tough guy asks what he’s doing. The Terminator replies, “I was observing you.” The tough guy slaps the Terminator. Reflecting on and trying to process the connection between crying and pain, the Terminator begins crying as the county boys laugh at him.

Play: Scythe’s nephew’s pre-school play (2005)

Synopsis: Scythe’s 4-year-old nephew put on a 1-child production as Mighty-Super-Max-Godzilla Man, where he smashed paper boxes, threw toy men, broke through building blocks, and ripped paper while growling and screaming. It ended with a massive power pose.

Song: Cacti Maximus

Scene: The entire play
